How to manage wavy/frizzy hair.

Question Posted Wednesday January 9 2008, 9:11 pm

I have pretty full, wavy-ish hair (it pretty much has a mind of its own). If I let it dry naturally, it has a natural wave/poof, but my hair isn't hard to straighten.

I was wondering what shampoo and hair products are good for my hair type (wavy, thick, slightly frizzy). Shampoo for normal hair tends to dry out my hair, while some ultra moisturizing or curl shampoos make my hair get oily.

Anyone who has similar hair- i'd like to hear from you :)

Oh, I do not dye my hair, and occasionally blow dry (not very often though). So my hair is in good shape.

I actually just bought a sedu flat iron last week and I absolutely love it! It softens my hair and makes it very shinny and straight. It's on sale right now for I think $100 but thats about half the price it normally is. Depending on whether you have short hair or long hair like me you may only need the one inch iron which would be cheaper, you also need to use a heat protection anytime you use a dryer or iron if that is something that you want to try. I am telling you it works miracles!!! The website that its on sale is www.folica.com the name of the iron is sedu turbo I think, just make sure its the black one with adjustable heat settings.~Hope you'll try it~B

Try a conditioning shampoo like Herbal Essences "Hello Hydration" or use a leave in frizz free conditioner such as "None of your Frizziness", also by Herbal Essences. Also, try not to put your hair wrapped in a towel, scrunch it dry instead, this reduces frizziness.

well i have super corkscrw curl hair and it used to be unbelievibly frizzy and a mess
but then i started using conditioner at each wash and made sure i brush my hair well.
also i bought the Sunsilk product for frizzy hair and when my hair gets that way i use it.
but mostly i found conditioner to be totally helpful, i dont know what i would do with out it!
