If you're downloading add-ons, like new levels, or characters, these may be files that you have to move to directories already created by the Sims program.
Do you know where the files unzipped to? If you don't, attempt to unzip the same file again, and take notice of the destination directory that is offered, then cancel the unzipping and go to the directory that was offered. [ Fbomb's advice column | Ask Fbomb A Question ]
