is it okay to masturbate? sometimes i feel really self consious about it afterward...im 16/f

Yes, its perfectly normal. For girls, it seems to be a more taboo subject than it is for boys, so most girls don't admit they masturbate, but really 90% of them do.

Masturbating is healthy, it relieves stress, and relieves sexual tension. It helps you explore your body so you know what is sexually satisfying for you and can even make you a better sexual partner.

Don't be ashamed to do it, as long as it isn't taking over your life you have nothing to worry about!
