dell latitude 600 mic?

Question Posted Friday December 14 2007, 10:36 pm

my dell laptop has been having trouble with the mic lately. it began a while back, but i never did anything about it because i never used it. now that i play guitar and sing, i want to record myself.

the mic is NOT muted- i've looked at every audio setting possible, and tried to figure it out. it's built in to the laptop, if that provides any help. can anyone tell me how to get it working again?

I'm not an expert on laptops by any means, but I have heard that laptops have general problems with sound/mic and that the best way to get it to work again is to send it off to a professional! I hope you find an easier solution, however! Good luck!
