binging.

Question Posted Wednesday December 12 2007, 2:48 pm

okay, so since july, i've been binging nonstop.
i've gained 10lbs back that took me two months too loose.
well, anyway, i'm trying to loose that 10lbs again.
i'm taking it one step at a time. so i've been eating a lot of oranges and such lately.
is that healthy? or should i replace it with other foods. if so, what?

Hey,
I personally think you should keep doing what you are doing.. eating healthy (oranges instead of chips, chocolate is great). Just give yourself variety. Veggies are really good for your digestive system. Since there is a lot of acid in oranges, it can hurt your stomach. In my personal opinion, (what I do to lose pounds) is eat a great, bigger breakfast, a great somewhat big lunch and a little dinner. I also try not to eat past 8:00pm just because I know I am going to bed in a couple hours, and my metabolism will go way down and not digest food fast enough. But Since you are taking little steps (WHICH IS GREAT)... maybe you can stop eating at 9 for the first week, then 8:30 the second, then 8:00pm the third until your body gets used to it.
In conclusion, add more variety to your diet (veggies especially).
All the best,
L.

too many oranges aren't too good for you. oranges are really acidy. eating healthy is the key, but also you just need to cut back on your amounts in general. don't necessarily ONLY eat fruits. stay away from junk food and unhealthy desserts. the biggest meals should be breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and in between those meals, have little snacks, like cheese and crackers, pretzels, nuts, fruits (including oranges) and vegetables.

Hi, to keep your metabolism going strong, i would eat a varity of fruits and vegetables. Protien also takes a while to digest so it will keep you full longer. The main thing that you need to do to help you loose weight is to cut out the junk food and force yourself to say "no thank you". Also sometimes you will think you are hungry when you are just thirsty so drink water all the time, and when you do eat don't eat till your full, but eat until you are satisified. Hope i helped, and don't forget to exercise to make the pounds shed off even faster :)
