Xbox Live, how u do it?
Alright I just got an Xbox 360 recently and I'm like totally new to it since I've been with nintendo since I was just child. Anyways I'm totally lost on how to join the Xbox Live thing. I connect it to my brother's laptop and it did this connection test and said my IP address failed. Then I connected it to the modem that I disconnected from my other computer and this time the IP address passed but something about the DNS thingy failed. It said something about all my computers have to be able to browse the web or somthing like that. Well my other computer didn't have connection to internet when I took off the modem so probably that's why. So now my mom and me are gonna switch rooms so both computers are near each other (I have 3 total one is lap top with wireless connection) so I'm able to connect my xbox to the modem in a more efficient way.(She has a computer in her room which is upstairs and I have one in my room which is down the basement,we use a really long cable so that my computer has internet) So my question is do I just connect my Xbox to the modem now? Should work since all computers have internet service right? Well if not does anyone know a much simpler way? Maybe how to do it with my the laptop so I don't have to switch rooms? I'm already comfy having my own room in the basement plus I play hardcore games on my computer and my mom might not like it since my room will be upstairs now.
