advice I was wondering if you would mind sharing your advice on how you lost weight your own way... Thank you for answering my question, I appreciate it!

Sure. Here are a few ideas-
1. Keep yourself hydrated. Drink lots of water. Not only is it very healthy for you, but it helps you lose weight. Just don't over do it. A few glasses or bottles a day is fine.
2. Find a calorie plan that works for you. You should go to the doctor or a nutritionist if you want an accurate plan. You can also google it online. I would suggest anywhere from 1600-1800 calories.
3. Exercise. The more you exercise, the more food you should eat though.
4. Avoid fattening foods. Some fats are actually good though. You want to stay away from saturated & trans fats. Use in moderation. You should have some good & bad fats.
5. Avoid foods high in sugar. Sugar is good once in awhile but a lot of added sugar is not.
6. Eat all 3 meals & never skip meals. It does not help you lose weight. It slows your metabolism.
7. If you want to speed up your metabolism, eat something every 3 hours. Even if its fruit/veggies or a granola bar.
8. Try eating whole wheat products instead of white. White breads aren't necessarily bad for you, but they're empty calories with no nutritional value. Wheat is much better.
9. Try eating a few hours before bed. It isn't bad eating late at night, just leave at least an hour inbetween.
10. Keep yourself motivated. Motivation helps you to become successful. Get a few friends or family members together to exercise with you & take you out to dinner.
11. Don't starve yourself. Just because you're dieting doesn't mean you have to go hungry or eat foods you don't enjoy. There are a lot of good tasting diet foods.
12. Eat plenty of fruit & veggies. Cook them however you like.
