Of course I've never seen you, but every girl is pretty & beautiful, no matter what. I think that before you ask him out, get to know him. Ask him to hang out; just start talking to him. Even a simple "what's up?" is perfect.
Now, give that time.
Pay attention to his reactions.
If after a while, (more than a week or two!) you don't think he's all that into you, just try to stay friends.
