Birthday Presents/Christmas Presents

Question Posted Saturday November 24 2007, 12:10 am

There is a guy I like and we have been talking for awhile and his 18th birthday is coming up on December 5th. I don't know if I should get him anything. I was thinking I would make him some cookies or something, but then again is that kinda dumb? We are both seniors in high school. I also don't know what to get him for Christmas. If we do end up dating. Even if we don't end up dating, I still want to get him something. I need ideas, he would basically be my first real boyfriend, and I want to get him something that he'll remember me by. Also, he plays football and baseball and likes sports in general. If you could give me any help at all I would appreciate it! (Btw...one idea I had was to make him one of the fleece-tie blankets!?!?)

You're like in the same exact boat i was in last year.. and i tried the fleece blanket thing.. and unfortunately ya know what happened to me.. he was like oh thanks, i have like a ton of these. So it really wasn't that special, cause he already had a bunch of blankets and didn't need another one.So that might be something to consider when you decide what to give him... will he like the blanket you gave him or just the idea... and will he use it? And i personally think that the cookies thing isn't a bad idea. I once found out that one of my guy friends loooooved smores and koolaid so for his birthday i made him smores and koolaid, needless to say he fell hard for me- cause its little things like that which matters. So try something like that for his birthday and when xmas comes around go bigger..depending on if he likes what u did for him for his birthday. Good Luck!!!!

Cookies are kinda lame, that was 5th grade.

I think you should just go to the mall and buy something that you think he would like, but nothing too big because he will think your obsessed with him or something, or too clingy.

I think you should just buy him a card, and buy some candies and put it in a gift bag :]

Hmm..well since you're not already going out with him it should be something small, friendly, but fairly impersonal. Go to spensers and find an interesting card, or just browse the mall for something that reminds you of him. If it makes you laugh, it will probably make him laugh too and thats always a good thing.

You could also always ask him what he wants for his birthday!

Err...make sure he knows that you know his birthday is coming up XD you don't want to look like a stalker or anything when you had him the present. I think it goes without saying, but I figured I would anyway.
