Sorry, I didn't know what catagory to put this question under.
Is it true that after about a year the SPF on sun screen weakens? Do I really need to buy new sun screen every summer or can I just use up the stuff left over from the summer before?
Thanks for your help!
"Some sunscreen preparations actually have expiration dates printed on the label. In the absence of this information, one should throw out any sunscreen that is over 3 years old."
summerbeautyxoxo answered Saturday November 24 2007, 5:31 am: Im not totally sure, but i do believe that yes! it does weaken. Ive been reading around and one website says to refresh your sunscreen every 3 years. Another says throw out after a year.
But I do believe that now sunscreen is being made with expiration dates.. so i would totally look for those..
But keep this in mind: Its better to be safe than sorry!=]
Me, im italian, and i tan easier than burn, but if you burn better than tan, i would get new sunscreen every year..
hope this helps!!
