Okay so I'm trying to record tonight's Gossip Girl. I have cablevision iO. So what I did was I went into the channel guide and I went to channel 11 and to Gossip Girl. I pressed the red button on my remote, and then the session highlighted in red, and next to the information, it said REC in red letters. I've tried recording shows on my TV before, and so while it's recording, I can't change the channel. I'm pretty sure it was actually recording. When it's done, I don't know where to go to watch it. I don't know if I have DVR, so I'm not sure. Do I have to have DVR? Or is there some channel I can go to to watch the shows I record?
Later I found out that I was supposed to have a blank DVD or VHS in somewhere for it to record on to...
So, if you have DVR then there will be a button on your remote control for you to go find your recorded show. If not, then you, like me, were probably supposed to have something to record it on to and just didn't know. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]

There must be something on the remote whether it be in the menu or what not that allows you to view all recorded shows. Oftertimes this is found as I said within the menu button. Good luck. If it doesnt work you may not have DVR or your box may be broken. There is always tivo too. [ Proph21's advice column | Ask Proph21 A Question ]
