what are some good sensible cars for a sixteen year old? my birthday isnt until april but i'm gonna have to work on my parents for awhile so it's probably a good idea to start now! something not too expensive please. i'm looking for a big small car if you know what i mean.

Hey. personally.. i would recommend a pontiac grand am..i have one and i love it. they arent too expensive for a used one. mine was about 5000.. and it only had 83000 miles on it.. and its 1999. i would also suggest a chevy cavalier or cobalt. i heard those were pretty decent cars. hope this helps. by the way im 16.. almost 17. and a girl.

It depends on what your parents are willing to spend, if they are fortunate enough to be able to buy you a new car, then consider the Honda Fit, and the Nissan Versa.

If a used car makes more sense financially (I also think it makes more sense practically, because you wont feel so bad when you scratch/break/crash it because you are new to driving) then look at the Honda Civic, and the Toyota Carolla. Both are excellent choices for many reasons.

I would be happy to give some more advice if you are interested.
