I love this girl.
She lives in Ireland, and I live in the US. Her mother decided last week I'm not allowed to speak to her anymore. Naturally, I'm heartbroken.
How can I get over her? (15/f)
HELP!!

Parents force their kids to do things sometimes because they feel that they're protecting them but they are actually causing them more pain and hurt then they would have felt before.Time heals all wounds.I know its really rough on you now but in time the pain will go away.Cry,scream, write a letter to her(you could send it or not) just get your feelings out. Also try to focus your free time on doing something constructive, the less idle time you have the less time you have to think about her.I promise it will get better soon. All you have to do is try. I hope you feel better soon. Goodluck!!! [ Rissa88's advice column | Ask Rissa88 A Question ]

Elcee answered Friday November 2 2007, 10:11 am: You need to perform an act of closure to help you move on. Write her a letter telling her everything that you feel. Explain why you cannot speak to her any more and also put down your feelings about her mother. It doesn't matter if you rant and rave or cover the page in your love, you won't send it.
Once you have purged yourself of everything concerning Shona, take the letter outside and burn it. Tell the ashes goodbye, blow them away and then go back indoors to get on with your life.
