I am following up on your questin, answering my question. You and I are the same age, and have the same # of children, so I thought that was an intersting match for advice giving. My husband is 4 1/2 years younger incidetally. I think I want my husband to sometimes act like I am a WOMAN, not just a wife and a mother.

You and my wife should talk. :-) She had to drag out the clue bat and hit me with it.
When the kids were younger and very clingy, there were nights when she was overstimulated and didn't want to be touched or kissed or anything. After a while, I gave up trying. I was tired of the constant rejection. She got frustrated by me not trying, and so we had to talk.
It sounds like you and hubby dear need to reconnect. First, you need to hit him with the clue bat. Don't be afraid to tell him what you want and need. Unless he's the Great Yappi, he can't read your mind. Second, ship the kids off to Camp Grandma (or whoever) and spend some time together, alone. He needs to remind you of why you fell for him in the first place. (Me, I hide poetry in my wife's wallet. She may not find it for weeks, but she always appreciates it.)
