In the "view" tab, select "show hidden files and folders" and press ok. Now navigate to C:documents and settingsyour user nameapplication datamozillafirefoxprofiles. There is a folder here that starts with random characters and ends with default. It looks like abcd1234.default. Open this folder. In that folder is another folder called "bookmarkbackups", go in there. The folders are named by date; if the most recent one ends it ".html" rename it "bookmarks.html", if it doesn't end in ".html", rename it "bookmarks". Now cut that file and paste it into the folder you were just in, the one with the random characters. You will overwrite the old one. If everything worked, your bookmarks will return the next time you restart firefox. You can't restore your tabs, and if there isn't anything in bookmarkbackups then you can't restore your bookmarks; sorry.
