extra vertebrate

Question Posted Thursday October 25 2007, 4:55 am

So last year I had severe lumbar (lower) back pain. I went to a chiropractor and he said that I was born with an extra vertebrate. It cause me a lot of pain and discomfort just to stand. My doctor made me go to visit him 3 days a week for almost 2 months for a realignment. They really didn't help and I don't want to sound like a jerk and say "hey doc, your method sucks" but I also don't want to go to a different doctor to ask him if I might need surgery. I don't want them cutting into me and pretending like they did something just so that they could suck my money out of me. It feels like my vertebrate are almost rubbing together like there is no more cartilage in there. What could I do?? I know that there probably isn't a doctor on here, but I was wondering if someone was stuck in the same situation? Thanks a bill!!

My husband was told he had an extra vertebrate when he collapesed at work when his back gave out. The doctor told him it was only a matter of time. He had to have surgery to repair the vertebrate that had gaven way and a metal rod put in his back. He had to learn to walk again but he was strong and now you would never know he had any problems. He suffered for years with back pain but just put it down to his heavy manual job. If i was you i woild get a second opinion. We were lucky that his work compensation paid for the surgery. I wish you luck xx

You need a surgery. No "therapy" will help. It's still there stuck in your back. Get it removed. Don't be a wimp. You won't feel anything, and with it gone they will have helped you.

There are such things as real docters that aren't just trying to suck your money.
