Question Posted Sunday October 21 2007, 1:15 pm

do the first thing baby animals see (living?) they perceive as their mother? like for wild animals.. what if you stumble upon a nest and just then an egg cracked and the baby saw you? hmm but then dont babies not see yet bc their eyelids are closed? so how does this all work?

That's not always true. Basically, whoever feeds the baby animal is probably who they are going to consider to be a mother figure. Food and shelter, as an instinct, are their first and only priorities.
