I just got my touch a month ago, and its really handy if you have a wireless network. If oyu dont have a wireless network to hook it up to, it would basically be like a normal ipod. it also doesn't come with plug ins (macromedia, adobe.. etc), so if you want to watch videos on a site other than youtube or play flash games, you're out of luck. It also scratches really easily, so you can't just throw it in your bag.
I have played around with the nanos, and they do work really well. If you were planning to use it for video, with an 8 gig you can really only hold a few hours before jamming up the memory. Also, the click weel is very small, and hard to manage.
I chose the touch mainly for its wifi capabilities, but if you just want to hear your music and throw it in your bag.. etc, the nano is for you. [ brickwall's advice column | Ask brickwall A Question ]
alex_ABC_123 answered Sunday October 21 2007, 3:33 pm: well, i have the new nano, and i have to say that i love it. but the ipod touch is really awesome too and my be easier too use. the iphone and the ipod touch are the same exact price, and look the same. so if you could find an iphone, i would get it. the nano, is only 150 while the other too are like 400 dollars. i wanted the nano because it is easier to lug around, and will fit in tight spaces, and cost a lOT less. hope i helped! don't forget to rate!
dOpe answered Sunday October 21 2007, 1:30 pm: i have the same problem, haha. i can't tell if i want the new ipod nano, or the ipod touch or just keep my old ipod. because i really don't need another. my friend said that she got the new ipod nano, because for the iTouch your fingers might be too big to touch the buttons on the screen.. i say go to the apple store for like a half hour and check the ipods out and see what you like better. i think it's the best way.
