I saw the ex
So,I just wrote you a long question about how my gf talks about her ex all the time...WELL,I saw her ex today.It was rather awkward.I went to this tanning salon and when I walked in,I saw that her friend worked there...so I was praying that she wouldn't walk in.WELL,she did.&& she just looked at me..Like I'm gross.I walked out and called my gf to tell her..I JOKINGLY said "Well,I don't see any competition",meaning that I'm better.And my gf said "What competition?She has a boyfriend now,and I don't like her or talk to her.".....SO,that makes me think that if that girl was single,would my gf try to get with her again?Ya know?UGHHH!

I really doubt your girlfriend would go after this girl if she happened to be single, as they've been apart for years and in that time, people change. Most importantly, she is with YOU!
I think your gilfriend said something quite important. That being - "I don't like her or talk to her". If I were you, I'd be happy she's out of your girlfriends life. So what if she has the memories of her - you probably have memories of ex's etc too, along with everyone else in the world. It doesn't mean people still have feelings for their ex's.
I know it can be pretty awkward if you bump into her ex every now and then. You obviously aren't friends, so you should just ignore her and pretend she's not there. If she happens to give you evils - who cares? She's probably jealous.
What you should do is trust your girlfriend and completely forget about her ex because it's long gone into the past. I'm pretty sure if you bring it up alot it will be harder for your girlfriend to forget, too. Yes, it's hard - but it will get better. Focus on *your* relationship. Not your girlfriends past experiences. I bet alot of people are worried their girlfriend/boyfriend will run off with their ex.. but considering you've been with her for this long, you've already had more of a history than your girlfriend has had with her ex.
Erase this other girl from your mind and build up your own relationship so it's stronger than ever. :)
