ipod to radio fm thingy

what is a real good thing that allows me to connect my ipod to my car stereo? i don't have that aux thing, but i saw my friend playnig his ipod on his car with some about FM, it was connected to that smoking thing. my question is what is a good frequency or something that makes it sound good in quality? i play to go to radio shack tomorrow to buy on thanks

i do know what your talking about, but i dont know much about it. there is something else that i have called an iTrip. you can find it just about anywhere that sells ipod accessories. their about 50 or 60$ though. i have one, my dad has one, my friend has one. i think their great. you plug it into the bottom of your ipod, depending on what kind you have, and its cordless and it tells you a radio station on the screen and you put your radio on that station and it plays it. it sounds great. hope i helped
