Hey! I gotta question, well a few days ago I was listening to my iPod, & the earphones dropped in the water then I rushed to get them out, and yes, it was plugged up to my ipod they was only in the water for like 5 seconds? and then I went to play it and my ipod frozed on "0.39sec." and it won't move like it usually does, you know, counting the time of the song. and my earphones are all weird..like one ear went out or something. I can buy new earphones, I just don't know what I can do with my ipod? I got it at wal-mart so do i take it there or call the Apple store. My 1 yr warranty ends this december, (my dad got it for me last christmas) so what do I do?
Additional info, added Wednesday October 3 2007, 1:17 pm: oh & I forgot to add this,
when I put music on my ipod, then take it off to listen, it freezes up and doesn't unfreeze until that night.
do you think Apple or wal-mart will let me trade or something? or get my money back?

Unfortunately, with or without the receipt, walmart will NOT let you return it :( My iPod recently broke, and I wasn't allowed to return it. Walmart only takes returns within 2 weeks of the purchase.
Oh, and if you just buy a whole new iPod, make sure you get appleCare. It's very helpful, and you can return the iPod if it breaks, with or without a receipt. [ kennax3's advice column | Ask kennax3 A Question ]
