If you have any kind of security system you should run a full virus and spyware scan, it sounds like you don't have one, though. Some browsers have a pop-up blocker built in, check if yours does andif it does, make sure it is enabled. You night also try clearing your history. Also, you should try to locate your "temporary internet files" folder (do a full system search) and clear all the stuff in there out, that seemed to really help me. What I would really recomend is investing in a reliable internet security system (Norton, MacAfee, etc.), but I understand that not everyone has that kind of money. If you can afford it, it's worth it in the long-run. I hope I helped.

Unfortunately, our PC ended up crashing because it was just extremely slow, and you couldn't go on anything without getting at least 5 pop-ups. You can download special programs, but make sure they're from a trusted program, such as McAfee. They usually cost quite a bit of money, but at least it costs less than buying a whole new PC. Sorry that I can't give you a list of safe programs. If you google "pop-up blocker" on google, about 60 percent of the sites just make the problem worse. :/
Good luck. [ kennax3's advice column | Ask kennax3 A Question ]
