Jeanne answered Sunday September 30 2007, 1:58 am: Well, I think you should start by saying what you told us. Tell the author that you don't normally enjoy reading, but that you had to read a book for this class. And you feel really lucky that you picked this book, because the moment you started it, you couldn't put it down!
Now try to think of some specific things you liked about, and write about those. What about the characters? Was there something you liked about their personalities, or the things they did? What about things that happened in the book? Were there certain parts that were really exciting, or really sad, or really happy? If you had to pick a certain part of the book to read to someone else, which part would it be? Think about that and write about that part.
And since you have to say what you DIDN'T like about the book, you could say... the only thing I didn't like was that it had to end!
