casual wear
Im starting a college based training course on monday and on the letter it says smart casual, no jeans or sportswear, but ive seen many other girls wearing jeans and stuff there.
My question is.. im going shopping tomorrow morning with my friend to get clothes to wear, and i really dont know whether to get jeans or black trousers.. because if i get black trousers and everyones wearing jeans its waisted money, so should i get jeans and then ask on monday if i do need the black trousers and get some that evening?
Also what smart/casual tops, t-shirts should i get to wear with the jeans or trousers, (either way jeans or trousers i want to wear smart/casual tops)

instead try khakis...they're smart looking and are can be dressed down like jeans or dressed up like black trousers...and as for a shirt I'd just pick something that looks classy...I'd go with something in a dark plain color with subtle details or accessories...like a dark purple might look nice and then wear some nice gold jewelery or something with it...but if the paper says no jeans I don't suggest wearing jeans...especially not the first day...you want to make a good impression.

hmm, well, if you've seen other people wearing jeans there, then it seems like jeans would be the way to go. however, it would probably be a good idea to get just one pair of black trousers. as for smart casual tops, there are some good examples on this website (you don't have to buy from there, it just has good pictures in case you like the style): [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
everybody needs a white button-up shirt, so that would probably need to be on the top of your list. i know your question was from friday, but i hope that i helped anyway :)
