dance fever:(

Question Posted Friday September 14 2007, 11:50 pm

so up until a week ago i felt like a total freak for not knowing how to dance at parties. i read some of the other questions here related to that, so i know im not alone. i tried following advice like dont worry about it, or just move to the music, have fun, and i tried that but people are just kinda mean about it and they can totally tell i cant dance, and they tell me. and idk even if i tried to ignore them and have fun the comments still get to me...so how can i become more comfortable with my bad dancing when i go to a party?

the best way to be comfortable with bad dancing is to just make fun of it. it sounds stupid, but if people see you making fun of your own dancing, they know you're pretty okay with it, rather than uptight.

so next time someone mentions it, you could say sarcastically, 'ACTUALLY, im pretty AWESOME at dancing!' or not sarcastically, 'my bad dancing just makes this party ten times better, right?'.

it helps a lot and makes people think you're more confident with it. hope i helped!

well first start out moving ur hips back and fourth then try to make a circle with them and occasionally put your hands on your head and play with your hair, try to figure out the pattern of tjhe music and shake your hips to it and eventually you will get used to it and you'll start rolling your body, hope i helped.
