when i try to finger myselft all i fell is like something blocking my finger from going anymore than one centimeter in, i know it could be the hymen, but would that really do taht? n if it did is there anyway i can 'break' it without having sex...
also is there a certain angle you have to go in to figer yourslef?
QUOTES FROM MERCK ARTICLE: "At the beginning of the tract, just inside the vaginal opening is the hymen, a mucous membrane. In virgins, the hymen usually encircles the opening like a tight ring, but it may completely cover the opening.
"The hymen helps protect the genital tract but is not necessary for health. It may tear at the first attempt at sexual intercourse, or it may be so soft and pliable that no tearing occurs. The hymen may also be torn during exercise or insertion of a tampon or diaphragm. Tearing usually causes slight bleeding. "
This sounds like what is blocking you from going further. See the full MERCK article for info.
This link shows the internal female reproductive system. I'm hoping you'll be able to look at it and go "That's what it is." and not worry anymore about it.
Also, you should know fingering doesn't have to involve penetration at all. Most women don't derive pleasure from that period and only get it from clitoral stimulation.
Regardless, you're healthy and normal and have nothing to worry about. In all likelihood it's the hymen that hasn't been torn or stretched. Your vagina is not abnormal etc etc. just so you know and don't stress. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]
wisewoman98 answered Friday August 31 2007, 2:56 pm: it could be your hymen but your body is probably just not used to that. it will probably hurt the first time and if it bleeds thats okay. bleeding is just your hymen breaking, which can happen by using a tampon, fingering, running or other vigorous activity. you might just have to break it the first time but if it hurts to bad then just wait until your body is more ready to handle that stuff.
