earth is round
ok so im tryed google and no help.
once some dude proved the earth was round by putting a stick into the ground vericly and proved the earth was round.
can someone tell me how he did this and what was the results??

If the earth was flat, completely straight sticks would cast no shadow. This assumes that earth is *exactly* flat and light is coming at the earth from *directly above*. It actually isn't very good proof, and I'm not aware of any famous historical person using the argument.
