EAR PIERCER...

Question Posted Wednesday August 29 2007, 4:43 pm

My friend just got an ear piercer that you can do on your own. She did her cartiledge [well her mom] and it was really cute and turned out very well. Has anyone used that to pierce anything else on the ears besides lobes and cardiledge?

Well, I don't know what you're talking about, but I somewhat do? Are you talking about a piercing gun?

I use a stud to pierce something if I ever do. My friend pierced my lip for me with a stud and I pierced my ears with a stud. Frankly, it's not the safest, seeing that neither one of us are trained to pierced nor are the things we use to pierced the most sterile.

You can definitely ask your friend or read the instructions that come with the piercer. And if it is a gun, it's mostly only for ears. Well, recommended for ears. Because your ears are probably the easiest place to pierce on your body and if you try to pierce your nose with a gun, that you might get extreme pain from the stud not going all the way through on the first try, scars, etc. If it was a hollow needle or something like that, most likely, you can pierce any part of your body with it. If it's one of those earring type things that gradually pierces your skin, than, I wouldn't recommend you to pierce anything but your ears with it.

So, I guess what I'm saying is:
If it's a gun looking thing or one of those gradual piercing thing, than NO.

If it's a stud or a hollow needle, than YES.

I don't know anything about the piece of equipment you're talking about - but you'll find that the vast majority of piercings are done using a needle.

There's obviously a good reason for this and so you should seek professional advice before trying to pierce anything other than your ears with it.

I suspect that if you read the manual that comes with it then it'll tell you what you can and cannot pierce.
