movie maker

Question Posted Saturday August 25 2007, 1:53 pm

I tried to put my video I made on Windows Movie Maker but it said the video is not a supported file type so it can't be imported. It's a ".mov" file. How can I change it so it can work on Windows Movie Maker?

You need to convert it to WMV format.

Upload it to zamzar(choose wmv in the second step):

If the file is too big, use mediacoder:

(ask me a NEW question if you have trouble with mediacoder)

You may not have the required codecs. Moviemaker SHOULD automatically download them, but if not try klite - [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) -

You can search on google and Im sure youd find a hundred answers... but my advice is just to find the supported file types on movie maker and then use a video audio converter to convert it. There are hundreds of freeware out there for those tasks, so you can find a really good one :)
I use Aimersoft Video Converter.
