ipod :(
yah i dont know what category, but its kinda computer/ipod.
ok my ipod video has the sad face ipod on it and then it says go to www.apple.com/support/ipod. so i went to that and it told me to restore it, and i know how but my problem is it wont come up on my itunes when i plug it in, and i have to do that to restore it. also it has the "please wait, very low battery" and it never charges even if i have it plugged in for a couple hours!
please help i need my music :(

Could be that you need a new battery. The batterylife is appauling on iPods - I had to replace mine after about 18 months, which is shocking considering I paid £300 for it ($550-600).
How much is yours worth? It might be an idea to get rid of it and get a new one, as replacing the battery can sometimes be expensive.

if its an older version of the ipod i say you trade it in. when you do that you get 10% off your next ipod.
if its new i say you go to the nearest apple store and complain!
ipods are having a bunch of problems. all of my friends with ipods that they have had start to crash and burn after about a year and a half after they have had it.
i'v had mine for almost two years now and thankfully haven't had any MAJOR problems with it.
