Nordstrom has an amazing bra like the one you just described. Pay a visit, get measured by a professional (its free!) and buy the bra in the right size. Their bras last forever and are unbelieveably high quality and comfort, so its worth it!

Victoria's Secret has every style you can imagine. If they didn't have a strapless version, you could easily get one with clear straps or interchangeable strap styles [like a halter or whatever would match the dress]. You could find a similar style for a lower price by shopping around; try Aerie, Kohl's, even Wal-Mart. Good luck!
