golf cart
today at a friends we were riding around on a golf cart when it got out of control and slammed into a tree. my left leg got a little beat up from the crash (i was sitting passenger) my leg just got skinned in about 3 places but on my knee it was a little worse. i don't think i broke or dislocated anything, it's just a LITTLE sore and i have a knot on the side of my knee. should i be okay if i just ice and clean the cuts?

I'm positive you'd know if it is broken, or if you hurt anything seriously. But I would suggest doing some simple exercises to get a better idea of how bad the damage is. Then use hydrogen proxide or some other form of disinfectant on the cuts for a few days to prevent infections. Try to avoid wearing pants or the material might stick to the wounds and that is EXTREMELY painful. When showering dab the cuts with hot water and soap, do not rub, for this will keep them from scabbing which will cause it to scar.
