how can i get him to notice me?

i really like this kid corbin he's a year older than me, he goes to my church and i've known him forever. he's in marching band at my school, and they had a competition last night. well they won (: and when me and my sister went down to congradulate [sp?] them, corbin walked right past me and hugged my sister. i was like "hey good job!" and THEN he hugged me. idk, the thing about my sister is that she's artificial and she act like she loves the same singers/bands/ect. he does, when she really doesn;t. i know that his favorite artists are john mayer and ben folds, and honestly, i like them too, but i'm not OBSESSED like corbin is.
so my basic question is, how can i get him to notice ME, not my sister?
i'll have time on sunday at church to talk to him, without my sister around, because she's singing in the service adn i'll see him in our youth group.

i honestly think that you should start talking to him about his music.
its obvious hes a music kinda guy and maybe you should start conversations about these artists,songs,albums,even his marching band.
if you want to outshine your sister in this field i personally tink thats the way to go is to win over his heart by truly showing you care by showing how much you have in common.
if you REALLY want to shine...get some tickets to a band/artist like or MAYBE EVEN john or ben themselves and treat him out to a night with just the two of you.i tihnk that that would be super cute and im sure hed be thrilled.

i'd go for it. i'm the kind of person who "takes risks" &if there is a guy i like, boy i let 'em know! take the oppurtunity, when your at church, just be like "hey whats up" or something casual. then just go with the flow. ask him what his favorite song by john mayer is, if you don't like that particular one, say something like 'well, that's not my fav. i like such&such better." yaa know? :D hope i helped!

you sound really jealous of your sister, either way just act like yourself you'd be suprised i know Corbin can tell how shallow your sister is and if you give it a effort he'll know how cool you are.
Don't let your jealousnes show and dont get all protective on him and everything will go great, just from reading this and having experience as the "love doctor" as my friends call me he probably likes you
