I dont get ticks. they dont like my blood type. but I check my 8 Rat Terriers 5 times a day for ticks. they get about 3-10 each time. my record is 46 in 1 day. any way ticks drop from trees. wear a hat.

This happened to me when I was little- I cried my little eyes out- but it bit me.

Keep your hair in a ponytail when outdoors- and aviod wooded areas that have a lot of brush and leaves and trees.

Good luck!

Oh i hate ticks too!

It's impossible to prevent them 100%. To avoid them, stay away from places that they mainly are, like wooded areas. And if you can't, wear long sleeved shirts, and jeans, and a hat and make sure your hair is up. They have something like bug spray, that works for ticks.

They get into their hair from crawling. If you were laying in grass or something, it could've got into your hair by that. Whenever you find one, you should burn it, they are very hard to kill. Stomping on it wont do it. If you have animals, make sure you check them too. They are the ones that get ticks a lot from being outside.

hope i was a help.
