Just Want To Know
Ms. Deploy, I was wondering if you could help me out for a bit.
If you read my profile, you can see that I am a poet who likes to write about romance, relationships, break-ups, that kind of mushy stuff. But all of it's toward no one.
But anyway, onward towards my question:
How can I use that poetry to... how do I put this... change the mind of a girl I like about wanting a boyfriend? I've been told my poetry is beautiful, I've even put tears to people's eyes. But I've never used it for personal gain before.
What I want is for her to eventually to go out w/me; but she's still not ready for that because her parents don't want her to date, and she's suffered from bad break-ups before, and I don't want to hurt her.
So what I really want to know is should I just plain ol' ask her out? Or romance the day? You know: give her a poem to read, flirt w/her, gaze at the stars w/her, spend time w/her to slowly get her mind set before I ask her out. Or should I even ask her out at all and just spend the day together?

First of all....no matter how beautiful ones poetry is...you cant change somones mind. nor if they want it changed or not. Now i realized that you said her parents dont want her to date. i understand from personal experience that this is not her fault (and understanding also...that it is very hard and complicated to keep such a secret from parents*i've tried that once and i got in major trouble*)now its impossible to MAKe her ready for a bf. if shes had such bad break ups you need to comprehend that she doesnt want to get hurt either...my "motto" is..is that...ppl date for a poetential partner...idk if this girl is the same way.....and if you 2 do date theirs only one way to not hurt her..if she hurts you..or you stay together forever...its hard to avoid hurt cause it comes around alot and it sounds like this girl has had it before....i do believe you should try just spending time w/ her and get not just her mind set but yours too. people these days are so just like dating anyone and everyone...and its really sad. (i've only had 2 real bf's.....and one was someone i truely loved...and ther other was more of a rebound and i felt awful cause i hurt him so badly). even though you care for her....you need to really consider this..do things for the RIGHT reason...THINK what you do before you do it....ACT in a way that wont make either of you uncomfortable. i hope everything ends in a way both pleasing for you and your girl.
