epicadvice answered Friday August 3 2007, 5:29 pm: My hair is naturally straight, and I straighten it to tame friz and I think it looks better.
Tourmaline is a great brand of hair straighteners, I got mine at Sally's Beauty Supply and it was around $65. It's rather bulky though. I can't find pictures online, but it's silver and the plates are red. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have extremely curly/thick hair or if you aren't going to use it often.
are_you_fracturing answered Friday August 3 2007, 3:55 pm: Some people with naturally straight hair use it just at the ends to make them stick-straight or to reduce frizz. Others use it to add shine or sleekness to dull hair. I have heard that Rusk makes a good flat iron that has ceramic plates (doesn't damage the hair as much). But they're quite expensive (probably close to $75) unless you can find them in a TJmaxx or Marshalls type store. [ are_you_fracturing's advice column | Ask are_you_fracturing A Question ]
LaceyIsPrettyBomb answered Friday August 3 2007, 3:54 pm: My hair is straight, but it flips out at the ends and its frizzy. And a straightener stops that. Pretty much all ceramic hairstraighteners work best for naturaly straigh hair. Metal ones suck lol. You can get some pretty cheap ceramic ones at Walmart, like 20 dollars. One inch thick ones work best and are small for the amount of space you have.
