are_you_fracturing answered Friday August 3 2007, 11:13 am: I would say go into more detail about the important events. How you felt, how it smelled, the weather, what you were wearing...I mean, relevant things, but details always make stories more interesting and easier to relate to.
And watch your use of the word 'but.' Try some other connectors or prepositions to structure your sentences - such as: after, before, except for, on, since, throughout, toward. It gives sentences more movement and interest.
