As long as neither one of you is uncomfortable about having sex during your period, then, of course, you can get right to it! Since you're a tampon, rather than pad, user, remember to remove the tampon before having sex, or hold on to the string during sex. Otherwise, the tampon can be pushed in enough that it may no longer be easily retrievable. If you were unable to get it out, you would need to visit a health care provider to have the tampon removed and receive treatment, if you need any, for any possible infection that could have occurred.
