okay, well my thing is i have this issue. well it's currently summer, as of you know. well there's this guy, that i'm greatly interested in, like i want to date him kinda thing. well today he asked me out, i was soo happy. except then i thought of my parents, they wouldn't allow me to date. so that made me feel bad. so my questions are how do i get my parents to allow me to date him? and if they still don't, how do i tell him that i can't date him (without giving him the impression that i'm not interested)? thanks in advance for your advice

Well, you sit down with your parents and you explain that you are a mature, responsible young woman who should be given the opportunity to prove so by dating. Tell this guy that he'd have to meet your parents and see how that goes. I'm not a fan of sneaking around, and the best you can do is be calm, collected, and try to convince your parents you can be trusted.
