CAMERAS FUCKED!!

Question Posted Sunday July 29 2007, 8:39 pm

well, my camera randomly decided to start taking really low quality photos. i have a casio exilim with 7.2 mega pixels. a while ago i dropped it in the sand at the beach and it wasnt working but, i ended up fixing it. then a few weeks ago, i took a picture, and the quality was horrible. and i have no idea why. and when i turn the camera on it makes a weird noise. maybe theres sand in the lens? idk. i really want to get this fixed. if i bring it to get fixed, how much do you think they'll charge me?

when i broke my camera [a sony] i went to the site and acted like i was sending it back. i answered a few questions and they gave me a rate. my lens wouldn't go back into the camera, and that cost $107. try it.
hope i helped ♥

Take a cotton swab, Q-Tip, whatever you call them, and dip it in glass cleaner like windex & clean the lens. Fingerprints get on there rather easily, and it happens to my camera all the time. I also happened to get sand in mine, and I gently shook it a little and the sand worked its way out, you just have to be careful about not grinding sand along the lens with the cover part, the black par that covers the lens? Make sure there's no sand caught under it.

If you take it somewhere, have them give you an estimate first. Having the camera repaired may cost just as much as buying a new camera. And if the prices are close, I'd just go for a whole new camera [and keep your old one because hey, it could randomly start working in November and then you have two cameras!]
