hey. well, my hair is a little longer than shoulder length. i want to grow it out as long as miley cyrus, ashlee tisdale, or vanessa hudgens (before she took her extentions out, lol). and my mom said that there are certain foods you can eat to make you hair grow. what kinda food would that be?? i don't want something that tastes nasty, or some weird food. thanks!

Twin1 answered Sunday July 29 2007, 1:06 pm: I dont know how well i can help you here, but in order for hair to grow faster, you need to eat protein. sum good examples of protein are fish, yogurts, beans, and eggs. Avoid foods high in sugar and fat.
Also, to grow out your hair in a shorter amount of time, get plenty of sleep. Hair needs at least 7-9 hours of rest.
Stay away from brushing, combing, or handling your hair excessively. Don't stress the hair by using too much hot water, hot blow dryers, straighteners, or anything of the sort.
askshalimar answered Sunday July 29 2007, 9:09 am: Im not sure about foods, but i have been told that hair oils are "hair foods", try putting some oil on your hair, you can use baby oil, the good thing about johnsons baby oil is that it doesn't have a strong smell. But there are other oils you can use like olive oil, coconut oil or even mustard oil - but these do have a strong smell.
i would suggest that you put oil on your hair before going to sleep and then wash it in the morning (you opnly need to apply oil once a week) that way you won't have greay hair when you go out :) Hope this helps. [ askshalimar's advice column | Ask askshalimar A Question ]
