what if my mom does it instead of professional?

Question Posted Saturday July 28 2007, 3:24 pm

ok so i cant stand hair people. they always never do what i am told like they always say i have gorgeous hair and if i ask them to cut it they cut about half an inch off and htey never want to color my hair. but i want to. so if my mom dyes my hair what can go wrong? like if i get the color dye i want and just have my mom do it for me how can it go wrong? like people say have a professional do it. but what could go wrong if my mom does it. and she dyes her own hair anyways so she knows how to i guess

I have my mom dye my hair, I've never got it done professionally because it's too expensive. Buying a box is so much cheaper. I've never had a problem with it, and my mom does her's too. The only risk you take is having your hair come out a color you dont want it to.

I wouldn't let your mom dye it because she COULD make a mistake. Go to a different hair place. If those people don't want to listen to you then you shouldn't give them your money. Search google for hair salons in your area.

just speaking from experience, i would get it proffessionally done. i know she's your mom and you trust her but things could go wrong. two times i let my mom just pput blonde streaks in my hair, the first time: bangs ended up an orangey blonde coulor.

second time: WHOLE head ended up being blonde.

just tell the people at the salon taht is what you want done. they can't say no.

good luck with everything though!
hope i helped out =]

You have virgin hair (meaning it's never been dyed), heres a tip, DON'T LET YOUR MOTHER TOUCH YOUR HAIR! Virgin hair is harder to colour so the colour won't develop the same as if a pro did it. Everything can go wrong, they colour can be too light or too dark, it can be uneven, and it may not even colour at all. You may keep it in too long and have your head burn and an ugly colour or not keep it in long enough and your colour won't product.

I suggest you just go to the salon and get it done. They cannot deny you a hair procedure just because they like your hair. Make sure you go to someone who is really good at mixing colours and knows how to produce shades properly.

The pro's don't want to die your hair? weird. why don't they? is it like a really cool color like red? But to answer your question, when ever you dye your hair(pro or not) something could go wrong. Though the risks are higher at home you can still color your hair. If your mom does it to her hair then it should be fine! don't worry.
