ok first of all, dont make out with him, it'll make him feel really guilty and it'll make his girlfreind want to find out who you are!
i would say that if you are pretty good friends, you know him, so if he likes music, burn him a cd of ur favorite songs and his favorite songs, or make him a "i'll miss you" card or a good luck wherever you're going card. get crafty and make something that represents what you 2 have in common, he'll think its sweet and he'll want to keep it. dont buy him something though, like a cd or something make him something so it looks like you spent alot of time on it!
