I really like my best friend! What to do?

Question Posted Wednesday July 25 2007, 5:48 pm

I've been best friends with this girl I work with for a few years now. I've always been sexually attracted to her because she's exactly my type. Lately, I have been having really strong feelings for her, more than sexual. She's been weird with me lately, been ignorant to me and kind of sarcastic when she does talk to me. She talks way more to our other friends and seems very forward with them, but not me and I feel left out. Liking her more than a friend only makes it so much worse. What is her deal? Should I tell her how I feel? or confront her about her latest attitude? Help me out!

i wish i knew exactly what to tell you, i really do. im actually in that situation currently. its hard to have a girl as a best friend and not like her hah. but yeah my advice is to wait a little longer to see if her attitude changes, or just ask her whats wrong! its obviously a sign that nows not a good time to tell her how you feel. wait til shes acting her usual or possibly friendlier/flirtier way. but yeah i pretty much love my best friend, i could basically marry that girl. so if your situation works out hit me up with your own advice!

alright well the same thing is happening to me right now. my best friend is in love with me but he never explained his feelings which really made me mad everyone else had to tell me and i didn't want to believe b.c i thought of him as nothing more. like i love him as a friend but i can't picture myself with him. but anyways here is my advice just talk to her and ask her whats been going on with her and then just tell her how you feel and if she feels weird just say i don't want this to effect our friendship because i really value it

If you really like this girl, ask her out for coffee. And if she says no, you'll know the truth about her feelings for you! But, if she says yes, then don't be too sexual to her. You'll scare her away. So be calm. Maybe e-mail her if you're scared. It's better than saying the wrong things to her face. So I suggest you e-mail her and ask her out. Don't be scared! You'll do fine! Tell me what happends if you take my advice! Thanks and good luck!
