Digital SLR Cameras
So im looking to buy a digital SLR bc im sick of buying film. What are some good models that arnt too expensive. Im looking at the Nikon D40 does anybody have it? Any other models that are good?

The Nikon d40 is amazing
i have it.
The only draw back i have is when taking a picture you can't use the LCD screen to look at your subject. you have to use the view finder. But other than that, it's an AMAZING camera

I just bought one last week. I was trying to decide between that and the Canon Rebel3 or something. I am very happy with my choice however it depends on what kind of things you will be shooting. If its simply for enjoyment and your not serious about photography i recommend it but if your serious about photography your probably going to need a better lens. I am about to go back to the store and buy a better lens because the one it comes with dosent zoom in very far. hope im helpful
