UPDATED ANSWER:

I would try either the Target store brand or the Equate brand. They both have good products that you can trust on basically any product. One cheap brand that I don't trust is Suave. I personally don't like their products because many of their shampoos, conditioners, stylers, and other products do more damage than good by drying your hair out and whatnot.

I trust store brand medicine as well, like the store brands of Ibuprofen, aspirin, benedryl, .etc. They do the same thing as the regular brand medicine, it's just that they're cheaper because you're not paying for the brand name.

Sometimes yes, but not always.

Usually when you buy a brand name item, you are mainly just paying for the name. However, sometimes the quality of a brand name item is greater than the store brand...

It all depends...
