how do you know when you're friends?

i recently striked up a conversation with my crush. how do i know when we're friends? any signs, an "at least this many months / weeks / years... " ? thanks so much!

If you have any good connection with a person, that means that they're your friends.
It doesn't take time to be friends with someone, because you could be friends at anytime.

You're friends when you've gotten to a point where you can be open and honest with them about anything and everything. You don't lie about anything.
That's just my opinion- but since you seem to want t an amount of time- I would say at least a month.

Hopefully this isn't just an internet friendship. Meet up [that is if you go to the same school or live near by] and hang out.
