ipod video

i have an ipod video but i cant put videos on because itunes doesnt recognize the fact that it can hold the videos in the library
also when it doesnt recognize when there is a dvd in the drive

does anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah but the way you can do this might get annoying. You're going to have to reset your ipod video so that the itunes program takes it as an ipod video and recognizes that it takes videos.
There's a format/reset button on itunes. when you plug in your ipod and it shows up on itunes, click properties or settings on your ipod and reset it.
