I know his house number, street, post code, suburb, and of course name, but is there anything else i need to put on it? Could someone like type it out how you would put it and what i would need to write? Also from australia to america how much on the stamps do i have to put? Also, is it ok if i put them in the mail box you know the one you put letters you might be sending to family in another state? Or do i have to go to the post office? Someone who knows what their talkin about please answer. Thankyou!

bill smith
1234 main street
jacksonville, florida (five digit zip code)
my mail took like a week to get where it was supposed to. just make sure you get one of the international stamps, or your mail won't go anywhere :) [ uisforukelele's advice column | Ask uisforukelele A Question ]

At one time I was writing to a guy in Australia. I'm actually staring at an envelope from him write now. Since you are in his situation, I'm gonna tell you what he always put.
He always used 4 stamps, just regular stamps.
It is okay to put it in the mailbox. It will get here, I promise.
When you address it to the person in Florida. This is how it needs to be.
