Surely your ipod songs are in your itunes?? Otherwise i don't think it's that easy to as it's 'copy righting'. If you don't have itunes, download it then plug your old ipod in and try and see whether the option of putting songs from ipod into itunes is there.. then plug your new one in and you'll go through a few 'read me' pages then update new ipod and they'll be added onto it. Sorry if that doesn't help it's the only way i can think of without installing all those programs that give you viruses. With limewire, if you have itunes then they should automatically go into itunes in a folder named '.......'s limewire' and then you just import them to your library. If your folder doesn't appear then once the songs have downloaded you just go to the list of downloaded songs put them on your desktop then import them into itunes.

Hope that helped:)

If you purchased the songs on your old iPod from the Apple iTunes store, then transferring the songs are easy. Just go to your "Purchased Music" tab in your iTunes and put it back on your computer after you sync your new iPod to it.

Now, if you happened to illegally obtain these songs, you know... by using Limewire, though I assume you didn't as you're asking how, then you're kinda fucked. I'll get to that after explaining how to get the music.

There are two ways to put the songs from Limewire into your iTunes. I'll use the easiest way for you as it's so simple if you can't do it, then you're probably as smart as my dog.

Firstly, download the song you wish to listen to. Once it's finished 100% bring up iTunes, now drag and drop the song from Limewire over to iTunes and it will immediately place it in your iTunes (be sure, however, that your iTunes is set to its Music library and not the store or a playlist of yours.

Second way is to locate your shared folder on your hard drive and import them from by hitting CTRL + O in iTunes. You can edit where Limewire puts its downloaded songs in Limewire, however.

Now, if you have obtained these songs without paying for them, then you CAN NOT retrieve them from your iPod and put them onto your new one.

My computer crashed and all my music was pirated material, I went to the apple store asking how to transfer my songs over and they said "legally I can't help you inside this store" meaning I was fucked because I refused to buy their bullshit music that was encoded to only work with their stuff and on 5 computers only.

While Apple doesn't want you copying their music over, I do have a way. There are many programs out there that allow you to transfer songs from your iPod back to your computer, however most require that you buy them.

However, because I'm great I obtained the program free with a crack and KeyGen for it.

If it comes down to you pirated your music, getting a program like what I have would be what you need. Due to the Advicenators ToS I can't actually say what that program is, however contacting me via AIM or Inbox I can further help you.

you can make a mp3 playlist on limewire and then you save that list Pay ateention to where you save it to. then what you do is you go to whatever music player you use and you impot the songs. hope that helps with one of your questions!
